Rules & Regulations
General Rules

Children under the age of 13 are not to be left unsupervised. They must have adult supervision.

Children under the age of 5 must be within a parents arm reach at all times while on the premises, not just in the pool. Parents must be with all children in the baby pool.

No running anywhere in pool area, grass area, or concrete pool decking.

No swearing or use of offensive language. Disrespect of staff & board members will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the facility.

Persons under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted on pool grounds. If in violation you will be asked to leave pool property. Under age persons will be reported to the police.

Possession or use of drugs or alcohol is prohibited. Violations will be reported to the police.

Authorized lifeguards must be present before anyone may enter the pool or deck area near the pool.

Adults are responsible for the safety and conduct of their children in all areas of the pool.

Personal coolers (soft sided/6 pack size) are permitted in the grass; large coolers are permitted only in the picnic pavilion area.

The L.A.P. is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Anyone caught stealing will be removed from pool property and return privileges may be suspended.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas on pool grounds.

Littering is prohibited. Receptacles are furnished – please use them.

Lawn chairs are not permitted on concrete pool decking.

No animals are permitted on pool grounds (with the exception of service dogs).
-
Pool may close due to inclement weather, poor attendance or emergencies. No refunds.

The Leechburg Area Pool reserves the right to look in any bag or container including coolers.
Food Rules
-
No glass permitted anywhere in pool confines, including picnic and kitchen pavilion areas.
-
Food not bought from the pool must be eaten outside of the kitchen pavilion area (no exceptions).

The kitchen pavilion area is for kitchen patrons only.
Pool Rules
-
Swimsuits only, permitted in pool. No cut-offs, sweatshirts, shorts, etc. T-shirts are permitted only with manager approval.

Rafts and rings are not permitted in pool. Noodles are permitted. Small, soft, water balls are allowed.

No inflatables are allowed in the pool.

Swimming aids that meet the American Red Cross and/or USCG criteria will be permitted with lifeguard approval. Swimming aids should be inspected by a manager or lifeguard prior to use.

Diapers are not permitted in pool. Children must wear approved “swimmers” available for purchase at the office.

Anyone going off the diving board must be able to swim to the ladder unattended.

No swimming aids are allowed in the dive or slide area.

Lifeguards & Managers have the authority to stop struggling swimmers from using the dives, big slides, and deep water.

Diving and flipping from the wall is not permitted in any area of the pool.

No glass goggles or face masks permitted in pool. (plastic goggles only)
-
No full face masks (those that cover the nose) or snorkels are permitted in the pool.

No horse play in the pool or any area. (lifeguard discretion)
-
No running and jumping into the pool. You may jump from the sides but no head first diving.

No arguing with lifeguards.

If you violate a rule you will
-
You will be informed of your rule violation and receive a warning for your 1st offense.
-
You will sit out and/or be reported to manager for your second offense.
-
The 3rd rule violation will result in expulsion from the pool.

If a rule violation is serious enough, you may be removed from pool immediately.
-
No more than one person on a diving board, the diving board ladders, or slides at one time.
-
No swimming in diving well at any time.
-
No hanging on ropes.
-
No standing in “sectioned off” area beneath slides. Exception – parents of small children (small slide only).

No sliding down sliding boards head first. Or “jumping” and pushing off.
-
No use of any tobacco product in pool.

No conversation with lifeguard on duty, unless necessary. Any questions or comments should be directed to the Manager. Lifeguards should always have their eyes on the pool.
Any violation of the rules and regulations set forth here, or the failure to comply with verbal instructions of Pool Personnel may be cause for disciplinary action or expulsion from the pool premises.
